There are different cosmetics designed based on various parameters to clean, care for, and beautify the skin of the face and body.
Solutions and Lotions
They are liquid cosmetic forms made up of an excipient or a group of excipients mixed together and in which both the active ingredients and the additives and correctors are perfectly dissolved.
Emulsions
These are mixtures of water with fatty components stabilized by means of chemical compounds called surfactants.
Suspensions
They are cosmetic forms in which part of their components are in a solid state, dispersed within a liquid excipient.
Gels
They are a particular type of suspension in which the suspended solid is responsible for increasing the viscosity of the excipient until it transforms into a dense liquid, a semi-solid, or even a solid.
Foams
They are cosmetic forms in which a certain amount of gas in the form of bubbles is incorporated into the excipient; to achieve this, there are several options.
Aerosols
They are cosmetic forms packaged under pressure and can be emulsions, gels, solutions, and even suspensions (but always with a liquid excipient) packaged with a propellant gas that will push the cosmetic outward in the form of small drops.
Sprays
Similar to aerosols in that the cosmetic can be an emulsion, gel, or solution (that is, a cosmetic with a liquid excipient) that will be propelled outward in the form of small drops.
Stick solids
They are usually manufactured when an excipient is kept liquid at high temperatures and poured into a mold where it solidifies as it cools, such as lipsticks.
Pencil solids
Similar in their manufacture to sticks, but introduced into a wooden or plastic support.
Bar solids
They are obtained by pressing and molding solids, such as soaps.
Plastic or moldable solids
They are solid cosmetic forms with properties that make them moldable, adaptable, or plastic and cover a surface to which they adapt or mold.
